A guided woodland hike followed by a studio art session where children turned their real-life bird observations into expressive drawings.
I developed and facilitated a forest school program that combined ecological learning with hands on art practice. The session began with a structured hike through the woods, where students identified birds by sight and sound, recorded observations, and explored natural habitats.
Following the hike, students returned to the studio to translate their field observations into detailed bird drawings. The project supported environmental literacy, observational thinking, and artistic skill-building, resulting in meaningful and beautiful work.
